Scope: to design graphics for an educational video, based on the script/directions to enhance the meaning. Also to create graphics ready to be animated with motion and inserted into the educational video with narration.
Deliverables: Illustrator vector graphic files with organized layers for the next stage/team member. See a sampling of visuals below, which have been grouped as animated gifs.
Educational video graphic design — silos
The video graphics were created using a combination of stock images that were customized as well as hand-drawn items. This slide was meant to show workers contained on their own and the combined impact it can create.
Educational video graphic design — bullwhip effect
The goal of this set, was to portray instability in the supply and demand process. The whip symbolizes the supply chain and the person symbolizes consumers.
Educational video graphic design — data sharing
The above set shows 4 offices that are merging, where the systems they use are different. The difficulties that arise are represented by the tangled arrows. At the end, an effective shared system is represented by the gears and cleaned up arrows.
Educational video graphic design — people
This graphic represents people sharing information, collaborating and making decisions together. Something as simple as adding a gradient to the dotted line adds a unique pop of interest.
Educational video graphic design — cargo
This set represents temperature sensitive cargo, and the loses that were expected vs reality. Then the solution is presented with a successful process.
Educational video graphic design — carriage
The colour scheme shown above, was set apart with the lime green background and greyscale imagery — as this set showed historical examples.
Educational video graphic design — internet connectivity
This set shows the global simultaneous connection the internet allows.
Educational video graphic design — unified communication
This concept represents unified communication, data, and decisions. Then the removal of the delay of the contained people.
Educational video graphic design — bike order
I was tasked with creating an infographic based on a paragraph of text, which told a story of a good vs bad bike order process. The motion I intended for this graphic, was to start zoomed in at the top left, and to have each section slide across, as the orange line is revealed. Then it would zoom out to show the two stacked series, as a comparison of the time elapsing between them.
